It looks like another ordinary day in the woods until an unusual event appearing deep in the woods shatters the peace. Can you overcome the unknown with your power? Or will you be mercilessly defeated? Come and experience a short but intense morning in this game.

Controls

  • Use WASD or Arrow keys to move.
  •  Press Spacebar to pick up items.
  • Hold E next to an interactive object to interact.
  • Press the Left mouse button to attack or break objects.
  •  Press Q to heat the weapon using wood in the latter game.

Tips

  • Got stuck? Look at the quest status in the upper right corner for hints. Wandering around or interacting with items could also help.
  • The monsters' and your attack ranges are all very limited. If you encounter a situation where you can not hurt the enemy, please try to change your position before your next attack. 
  • The monsters' attacks can interrupt your attack and vice versa. It is strongly discouraged to attack without moving. You may also use this feature to counter the enemies in some way...

Feedbacks

  • The duration of the heated axe was unclear. --> Added a visual timer for the heated axe. Skill-bar-like UI designs communicate information efficiently.
  • Players can't pick up wood/ or attack from other directions, have to get behind objects. --> Added attacking upwards and directional IDLEs. This feature gives players more choices during fights, both offensively and defensively.
  • Can players chop down wood from trees/stumps? --> Added the ability to chop down stumps for wood. The extra wood players gain from the environment also allow players to heat the axe more frequently against enemies.
  • Indicators that there are interactions before interaction. --> Added hovering "E"s on interactive objects to mark importance.
  • Speedup player; lower the fire rate of moths. --> All implanted. At the same time, the boss added offensive AIs and a second stage, ensuring a certain degree of difficulty.
  • Items to recover health. --> This feedback was not implemented as finding the opportunity to attack enemies is the main focus of the game combat. Adding recovery mechanics will encourage players to attack without moving.
